I think it was around third grade. I had bad asthma as a kid so I was in and out of the hospital; I was in there when it came out. My mom said “Here, I got this for you,” and she gave me a new GB and Super Mario Land.

I was so excited I remember the doctor getting mad at me.
From the next day on, whenever my mom visited I’d keep giving her reports like “I made it up to point X or point Y!” and she’d smile and all that.
