Yes, I am that shallow/mentally-challenged. The 'drop-in' aspect of shogi is very kool, it certainly keeps things interesting. Dropping in a piece in shogi is probably is even more satisfying than saying 'King me!' in checkers. :) Personally, shogi would be much more compelling—and easier to follow—if the pieces had cute little pictures or icons on them.
