Was any of the in-game music interesting? I don't have this game, nor do I think I'll be rushing out to buy it any time soon.

I actually dig the title screen music you posted... I put the bass wayyyyy up and it's fantastic. Plus, it's a rather long composition (instead of a short 20-second loop that repeats ad infinitum).

I'm stoked.

It's at http://www.ncsx.co.jp/

There was an outfit called X-nauts that was composed of old NCS staff and had the rights to their back catalog long enough to make Assault Suits Valken II for the PS2 (released by 505 in Europe). Those rights are now with a company called Extreme (http://www.e-xtreme.co.jp/), which is the one putting out NCS stuff on Virtual Console. (Hudson USA sublicensed with them to release Cho Aniki I suppose.)

GameFAQs seems to be confused a little here. All those mahjong/shogi/DS learning games were released by Mainichi Communications, which has nothing to do with any of the above companies.
